Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra

The Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra began in 1980 through efforts of Linden Hills area residents in conjunction with Minneapolis Public Schools Community Education. Now in its 42nd season, the adult volunteer orchestra has grown to some 50 musicians from the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The LHCO performs a variety of classical music in concert halls, neighborhood churches, and parks, as well as in residential care facilities.

Under the direction of Conductor and Music Director, Yuri Ivan, the orchestra presents free public concerts and outdoor, bandshell concerts in May and June. Please refer to our concert schedule for dates, locations, and program information of upcoming concerts.

The orchestra is dedicated to making great music accessible through concerts that are free and open to the public, and also through outreach concerts where we perform at local retirement communities. We would not be able to carry out this work without generous support from orchestra members, private donors, the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, and the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council.

Are you a local musician? Occasionally we have openings in the orchestra and would love to have you join us. Interested musicians should have intermediate/advanced playing ability and previous ensemble/orchestra experience. For information regarding current openings and rehearsals, visit our Join the Orchestra page.
